MERCEDES is the latest car manufacturer to launch a diesel scrappage scheme offering diesel car owners a cash incentive to ditch their old car for a low-emissions equivalent.
Mercedes has now launched its own diesel scrappage scheme in the UK offering drivers a chance to cash in on their old diesel car.
UK car drivers can receive a cash incentive of up to £2,000 off a new Euro 6 diesel, pure electric or plug-in hybrid Mercedes when they trade in their old car.
This follows announcements from other car manufacturers introducing similar schemes to encourage drivers to switch to low-emissions cars.
Cars that are eligible for this offer are any diesel vehicles made between 1992 and 2010 or Euro 1 to Euro 4.
One caveat is that you must have owned the car for more than six months to be able to qualify for this deal/.
BMW and VW both introduced schemes a few weeks ago very similar to the one announced by Mercedes.
Mercedes’ scrappage scheme will run until the 31st December 2017 and drivers must register their new car between August 2017 and March 2018.
